What exactly is the Prusa CORE One L+ INDX?

It's the proven Prusa CORE One L+ with 27 liters of print volume, a 60 °C chamber, and an AC convection heatbed - enhanced with Bondtech's super-fast toolchanger. It's the simplest, most reliable way to print with up to 8 materials at this size. New GT1.5 belts for smoother surfaces are already installed. Learn more about the CORE One L+ here.

        Prusa CORE One L+
        Ultra-Low Waste Toolchanger

Dedicated nozzles practically eliminate color flushing. You waste a microscopic 0.013g of material per toolchange. Prints are fast, precise, and dimensionally accurate right out of the box. Plus, you are never locked in. You can use any standard, affordable filament.

        Warp-Free 60 °C Chamber

A massive 298 × 275 × 330 mm build volume in a compact footprint. The 60 °C chamber prints large ASA, PC, and Nylon parts without warping. Active ventilation stops PLA heat creep, and the heatbed stays perfectly uniform right to the edges.

        Heavy-Duty Steel Exoskeleton

Built for demanding workshops and print farms. It relies on a rigid steel exoskeleton and aluminum panels. Nothing is glued together. You can service the entire printer yourself using just a screwdriver, and we keep all replacement parts in stock.

        True Hardware Ownership

You own the machine, not a software license. Run it entirely offline or connect to an open ecosystem - it is completely up to you. For absolute privacy, you can physically unplug and remove both the Wi-Fi module and the included 1080p camera.

        The Best Material Combinations

Go beyond mere colors. Mix materials on parts large enough to ship as the final product - and with perfect surface quality thanks to the new GT1.5 belts.

        Easy Support Removal

Print intricate internal cavities and overhangs using dedicated support materials. Use a different material for supports so they separate cleanly.

        Integrated Soft Grips

Fuse flexible TPU directly onto rigid PETG or PLA tool handles during printing - eliminating secondary assembly and adhesives.

        Structural + Flexible

Pair durable Polycarbonate enclosures with flexible TPU seals or compliant hinges for strong, functional parts.

        ColorMix Printing

Blend five or even six filament spools to generate dozens of custom fullspectrum color shades without constant manual spool swaps.

        Choose from hundreds of materials

The included nozzles are a perfect choice for materials like PLA, PETG, ASA, TPU, PolyCarbonate, PA11 Nylon, PVB, BVOH, and many others - essentially all non-abrasive materials.
The nozzles are surface-hardened nitrocarburized steel; not designed for long-term printing with abrasive materials. They are rated for 10kg of PETG-CF, or 5kg PC-CF, or 0.5kg Prusament Ultraglow before print quality is affected.

        prusament

Stop Wasting Filament!Cheaper solutions get expensive really quick

Every time a shared-nozzle printer swaps filament, it must extrude a large volume of plastic into a purge tower to clear out the old color. This waste block steals valuable printable bed space and easily consumes up to 30-50% of your spool on complex multicolor prints. With the INDX, you avoid all of this.

        Seamlessly Integrated

You are getting the exact same CoreXY 3D printer, but with the INDX system installed and calibrated at the factory. It uses the same heavy-duty frame, the same linear rails, and the same electronics that are already running 24/7 in print farms worldwide.

Under the HoodWhat makes it the top choice for workshops and businesses

Even heat across the whole bed

The all-new, all-aluminum heatbed with dual-loop heating provides beautifully uniform heat distribution, killing warping and cold corners. The printer automatically distinguishes between 110V and 230V grids and intelligently configures the heatbed for consistent performance in any part of the world. Everything is protected by robust multi-layer security systems.

Convection heating under the CORE One L+ heatbed

The enclosure reaches up to 60 °C

Two fans on the underside of the heatbed create a convection effect - they bring cold air in and blast it across the massive heated surface to quickly bring the chamber all the way up to 60 °C.

        Fast motion, fully enclosed

The advanced CoreXY motion system moves the lightweight printing head instead of the heavy base, allowing for much higher speeds without losing quality. Input Shaper firmware compensates vibration at high speeds, and the printer is beautifully fast with any filament - not just specialized high-speed options.

        Steel frame, aluminum panels

The robust exoskeleton from the CORE One+ has been reworked: it's still incredibly sturdy, but thanks to aluminum panels, the printer is actually lighter than the CORE One+ even though it offers two times the print volume. It's the perfect companion for your work desk!

Twice the volume, almost the same desk space

Compared to the CORE One+, the CORE One L has only a slightly larger footprint; however, its print volume is twice as much. A massive 298×275×330mm (27 liters) is waiting for your projects. Forget about cutting and gluing models - print them whole!

        Open files, yours to repair

CAD files for the CORE One L are published. Firmware source code is on GitHub. You can inspect, modify, or compile your own version. No locked bootloaders, no cloud dependency. We've been shipping open-source printers since 2012.

Independent reviews of CORE One L

These reviews are of CORE One L, not INDX. The foundation is the same: 30-liter enclosed CoreXY, 60 °C chamber, AC convection heatbed. INDX is the factory-installed toolchanger on that chassis.

        "A High‑Precision Workhorse"

        VoxelMatters Review

Reliable, easy to use, capable of delivering great prints over and over: Prusa's newest system is made for production runs. (...) Although the competition is fierce, Prusa printers possess a unique quality that extends beyond their exceptional print quality and dependability.

"The Machine we’ve been waiting for"

        Make: Magazine Review

I printed large models on the CORE One L that easily stayed stuck in place all the way out to the edges, a feat many large printers struggle with. And with its built-in Wi-Fi, you can send prints to your CORE One L from anywhere on almost any device, using the new EasyPrint feature on Printables.

        Make: Magazine
        Automatic Chamber Vent Control

It opens the vent for PLA, closes it for ASA

Pick PLA or PETG, and the printer opens the top vent for perfect print results. Pick a high-temperature material, and the vent closes to hold 60 °C in the chamber, preventing large models from warping.

        Camera with Night Vision

        Monitor your prints

A 1080p camera with night vision is in the box. Install it if you want to record timelapses or monitor your printer from anywhere in the world.

Module with HEPA and Active Carbon filters

Hook it to your shop ventilation

The chamber exhaust can take the optional Advanced Filtration module (HEPA + carbon) or a duct into building HVAC. Useful when you print ASA in a lived-in room or a shop that already has extraction.

The Innovations that Drive the INDXOnly one active component - less complexity, lower price, easier to use.

Printing with up to 8 materials is a complex job. Here is how we made it effortless, on a printer that already handles large, high-temperature parts.

High‑Speed Nozzle Swapping in Just 12 Seconds

Single-nozzle multi-material systems spend roughly 42 seconds on every single filament swap. They must retract, cut, feed, and flush the hotend, wasting time and plastic on every layer. The INDX toolchanger is much more efficient - requires merely 12s per change.

        indx head

Cold in the Dock, Hot in Seconds

The moving head carries an induction coil for nearly-instant nozzle heating. It grips a nozzle, brings it to printing temperature in seconds, and lets it cool again the moment it parks to prevent oozing.

        indx nozzle

        Active Head, Passive Toolchangers

Each parked tool is a nozzle and a dock - no electronics. All the intelligence lives in the head that collects them, so a fifth or eighth material costs a nozzle rather than a whole print head.

        first layer

The nozzle measures the bed before every print

The tip presses down on the sheet and a load cell reads the force, so the machine knows exactly where the bed is. This is much more precise than optical solutions, and you can switch nozzles and tools as much as you want.

        Nozzle Wiper

        Advanced Nozzle Wiper

The advanced nozzle wiper is the key to low waste. Every time a tool is picked, only a tiny grain of plastic is pushed out of the nozzle to stabilize the pressure. The nozzle wiper is located on a purge collector, where the nozzle deposits the micro-blob of plastic, smaller than a grain of rice.

        Self‑adjusting grip for different materials

Soft materials need a gentler grip than others. The INDX features a unique mechanism that adjusts the drive gear tension automatically, so you can move from TPU to rigid engineering filaments without stopping to retune the extruder.

        Photo of various nozzle sizes

        Always Ready to Print

Load eight filaments, install different nozzle sizes from 0.25 to 0.8. When you start a print, everything's already ready and loaded. Just pick the right tool. If you like to use different filaments and nozzles, and hate constantly swapping everything around, the INDX is the solution for you.

        offset sensor

        Automatic Tool Offset Calibration

The state-of-the-art offset calibration system is permanently mounted outside the print area.
20x Faster than calibration pin: It takes just 15 seconds per toolhead.
Improved Repeatability: Streamlines setup while delivering highly consistent results.

Watch the Prusa CORE One L+ INDX in Action

See a model being printed in the video below.

        One nozzle is a limit

        Why single-nozzle multi-material has a ceiling

        Shared Melt Zone

Every single-nozzle multi-material system has the same fundamental problem: one melt zone for multiple materials. Every color change means unloading the old filament, loading the new one, and purging everything in between.

        Expensive Waste

On complex prints, the waste usually weighs more than the finished object. That's a physical limitation baked into the architecture, not a design choice. You can optimize it, but you can't eliminate it. Even with cheap filaments, you are effectively throwing away your money.

        Trouble with Mixing Materials

You can't combine materials that create an incompatible environment in the nozzle. Try running TPU through the same hotend as PLA and watch the jams pile up. Different nozzle sizes in one print? Impossible with only one nozzle.

        INDX Toolchanger

        • Each tool has its own nozzle, no need to purge
        • Virtually zero waste, no wipe towers or filament "poop"
        • No cross-contamination between materials
        • TPU, PVA, Carbon Fiber and PETG in one print
        • Works with any filament brand, any spool size

        Single‑Nozzle Systems

        • Single nozzle must purge old material before loading new
        • Purge tower can weigh more than the finished print, large filament "poops" require frequent management
        • Residual material causes color bleeding and contamination
        • TPU jams in shared hotends
        • Space limitations, some systems lack profiles for filaments without proprietary RFID chips

        Right to Repair

Nothing is glued. Everything comes apart with a screwdriver. We keep spare parts in stock for years after release. A worn nozzle (after hundreds of print hours) is a $20 swap, not a reason to worry.

        Upgradability

Whenever it's even remotely possible, we offer our customers a clear and transparent upgrade path. When an improved model comes out, you can usually upgrade the printer you have at home.
