What Makes It Work
Every individual toolhead on the XL+ functions as an autonomous printing unit complete with its own extruder, heater cartridge, and filament feed path. To prevent cold-start delays during mid-print transitions, the kinematics system parks inactive heads in preheated docking stations where they remain ready to resume extrusion instantly. This mechanical architecture bypasses the speed limitations of traditional single-nozzle setups because swapping tools takes only seconds and avoids the lengthy thermal cycles of reheating a single shared heater block.
