About PP Glass Fiber Natural
Polypropylene (PP) is a lightweight material with exceptional heat and chemical resistance. The glass fibers inside the filament give it great dimensional stability, which means little to no warping during the printing. On the other hand, the glass fibers are highly abrasive, and a hardened nozzle is a must. The PP Glass Fiber offers high mechanical resistance, plus it can be colored, as the base material’s color is translucent white. The material is easy to print and the surface has an attractive, rough matte finish. Note that the Prusament PP Glass Fiber is not ideal for printing tiny details and requires a hardened nozzle.
We do not guarantee a perfect winding for this type of filament.
Best use
Due to its lightweight properties and extreme heat and chemical resistance, the Prusament PP Glass Fiber is suitable for demanding applications in the automotive and aerospace industries. It can serve its purpose in laboratories for custom equipment, such as vial racks. Hobbyists may find this filament useful for printing drone parts and other components that require outstanding mechanical properties.

Basic Attributes
Best with PP sheet
We offer PP print sheets for most of our printers. These sheets are highly recommended for printing polypropylene-based materials as they provide perfect adhesion. Otherwise, with regular PEI sheets, you will face extremely low surface adhesion, which can be improved only by using additional accessories, like polypropylene tape. Preparing such a separation layer takes some time and requires some skill, plus the tape leaves glue on the print surface. With the PP print sheet, simply degrease the surface with IPA as usual, and you’re ready to go.

Beginners tips & tricks
A hardened steel nozzle is necessary, as glass fibers are a highly abrasive material that can damage brass nozzles.
Prusament PP Glass Fiber cannot be printed on the regular PEI print surfaces, as the adhesion is too low.
We recommend printing in a well-ventilated room because PP with glass fibers may release a mild odor into the air and produce ultra-fine particles. Printing on an enclosed 3D printer helps contain the odors and particles, plus the increased temperature may improve layer-to-layer adhesion.

Manufactured In-House By Josef Prusa
We were not satisfied with the quality of filaments on the market. So we decided to make our own! Prusa Research is the only 3D printer manufacturer with its own filament production.

Premium-Grade Materials And Thorough Testing
The whole manufacturing process is closely monitored and tested – string diameter, color consistency, and mechanical properties – to make sure that every spool is perfect.

± 0.04 mm Manufacturing Guaranteed Precision
We believe the industry standard of 0.05 mm isn’t sufficient for perfect 3D printing. Instead, we guarantee ±0.04mm precision and highly-consistent colors in our filaments.

High Quality You Can Check Yourself
We are the only manufacturer that gives the option to inspect parameters of every filament spool. Scan a QR code on the spool to see all details online (check the sample spool).

Notes
Some small white microcracks may appear on the filament surface. These are just aesthetic and will not affect the print process, mechanical properties, or the model’s color in any way.
