The Prusa USS (Universal Storage System) Drybox is a sealed storage container built around a simple idea: place your spool inside once and leave it there until it’s empty. Since a perfectly dry filament is essential for optimal print results, the Prusa USS Drybox is designed to keep your filament shielded from moisture and to simplify your everyday printing workflow.

• Effective Moisture Barrier: Optimized for use with silica gel packets as a desiccant, the Drybox maintains a stable, low-humidity environment. This prevents hygroscopic filaments from degrading, keeping them ready for action even after weeks of storage. The package includes one desiccant packet to get you started. • Direct Printing Without Opening: Print straight from the box through a front silicone grommet and PTFE tube. When the filament is not in use, a clever integrated plug seals the grommet and secures the filament tip, maintaining ideal internal conditions.
• Mountable on Your Printer: The unique central opening allows you to mount the drybox directly to your printer using a 3D-printable bayonet mount. This geometry also minimizes the free internal volume, leaving almost no room for humid air to accumulate.
• Integrated Humidity Sensor: Always know the exact conditions inside. The Drybox comes equipped with a built-in hygrometer and thermometer, so you can easily monitor the internal humidity and temperature (°C/°F).
• Smart Side Access: Small side covers let you manually rotate the spool or replace the silica gel without opening the whole box, significantly reducing moisture ingress.
• Advanced Hydrophobic Material: Unlike standard polycarbonate dryboxes, the USS Drybox is made from hydrophobic Polypropylene (PP). This material is significantly less permeable to moisture and offers high heat resistance, making it safe to insert warm spools directly from a filament dryer.
• Stackable & Organized: The dryboxes are fully stackable, saving you a lot of precious space in your workshop or office. Plus, thanks to the integrated label holder, you can easily identify your materials using the included paper labels - or 3D print your own custom tags from Printables.com.
