For those who can't decide between this and a normal (more expensive) textured record here is my personal experience. I should point out that I don't have any other textured record, so I have nothing to compare it to but at least a few observations. It should also be mentioned that the imperfections found may vary from piece to piece. The plate is about 0.57mm thinner than the smooth plate and it is basically just a textured plate. During the test print (25x50x1 mm prism) I found that the texture of the resulting print is slightly less pronounced compared to the texture of the original plastic parts of the I3MK3S (e.g. the display cover). I didn't notice the omitted PEI spots. On one side, there is a less pronounced texture in the middle of the plate about 2x1mm, as if there was a dimple. When printing, I recommend using a Hilbert curve as a fill in the first layer, as the classic hatching may be visible in the result. I don't know if this is necessary with a normal textured plate but in this case it helps a lot. It is also necessary that the nozzle is as close to the plate as possible (for me offset -1,15 mm) so that the filament sufficiently fills all the holes but at the same time the filament does not get caught on the nozzle, which for large areas can be a problem not to mention the possible risk of damaging the plate. The adhesion is worse, so increasing the temperature of the plate will help (in my case to about 75 degrees, for PETG; for a smooth plate, even 60 is sufficient). Ultimately, though, everyone has to tweak it themselves, either the printer itself or the settings in the slicer.
