Double-sided Powder-coated PEI Satin Spring Steel Sheet

Double-sided satin powder-coated spring steel sheet for the Original Prusa i3 MK3/S/+ and MK2.5/S

Not compatible with

OVERVIEW:

The MK52 heatbed has embedded high Curie temperature magnets. These magnets are able to firmly hold removable spring steel sheets.

The Satin sheet further expands our line-up of print sheets. In terms of printing properties, the Satin sheet sits between the smooth and textured variants. Its powder-coated surface with lightly textured matte finish offers an optimal level of adhesion, especially when printing PLA and PETG materials. It is fully compatible with a wide range of common and less-common filaments, such as ABS, ASA, FlexFill 98A, Polycarbonate and more. A vast majority of materials can be printed without a separation layer (e.g. glue).

Polycarbonate - prints better on satin (compared to smooth and textured sheets) - when printing with PC often, glue stick layer is recommended to prevent possible damage to the sheet.

Find more details about the spring steel sheets (including usage and maintenance instructions) in our knowledge base.

WARNING:

Never clean the Satin powder-coated spring steel sheet with acetone! Doing so will create microfractures in the texture, which will make the surface deteriorate over time. Learn more about printing on the Satin powder-coated steel sheet in our knowledge base.

Note:

Consumable parts, such as PEI sheets (smooth, textured, etc.) are not covered by warranty as the coatings are designed to diminish over time unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship. Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents, cracks or other cosmetic damage is also not covered by the warranty. Only defective sheets on arrival are covered by warranty.

I love this sheet soooooo much. I have had great first layer performance with PLA, PETG, ASA, and even PC-Blend with carbon fiber. When the bed is hot, everything sticks really well, although PLA and ASA detached easier than PC or PETG did for me. And once the bed cools the parts typically detach themselves. PETG and PC sometimes still need a little bend of the plate, but even those detach quite easily. The finish that this sheet imparts to your prints is also very nice. It gives my PETG a subtle matte finish that makes for some gorgeous parts. I really enjoy the feel of the parts that come off of this sheet as well. It has quickly become my favorite bed for printing, I can't really recommend this thing enough. My only complaint is that it only comes in Prusa sizes. I need one for my Voron. Prusa, could you please release a 120 mm x 120 mm for Voron0 users? Either way, you all are awesome, and so is this sheet!

Excellent print sheet. In my case, all prints stick aside from PLA. PLA prints ok, but often has trouble sticking. I just use a touch of glue, and the issue resolves itself. I prefer this over switching sheets, and this thing works great for literally every other filament I've used so its my go to now.
