A new architecture for multi-material printing
Filament-switchers can be slow and wasteful, while full toolchangers mean swapping heavy, expensive print heads. The INDX introduces a hybrid solution. It uses a single "Smart Head" that contains all the complex electronics, like the induction heater and extruder drive system. This active head then picks up lightweight, wireless, and cost-effective passive tools. This design achieves the speed and near-zero waste of a toolchanger with the simple, scalable, and affordable tools of a filament-switcher.
