Borderlands 4 and Prusa Research partner for Free Launch-Day 3D Printable Cosplay Models

Sep 12, 2025, PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC - Prusa Research, the company of Czech developer, entrepreneur, and investor Josef Průša, continues to forge partnerships with global companies to release official 3D printable models related to their products. These models are available for free on Printables.com, and today the company is expanding their offering with models from the highly anticipated video game Borderlands 4 from Gearbox Software and publisher 2K Games.

For the first time in gaming history, a studio is releasing official 3D models on the very day their title hits the market. Fans can now bring the Borderlands universe to life from the comfort of their own homes with the iconic Psycho mask, a collection of weapons, and detailed cosplay components straight from the developers. No guesswork, these are official 3D models that retain maximum accuracy compared to the game's original designs. All models have been test-printed on Prusa 3D printers.

“I love when the line between digital and physical blurs. Borderlands 4 launches, and on the same day you can already have a Ripper mask sitting on your desk. That’s just awesome. Usually, props like this take weeks of work to design from scratch. Now it’s literally: click, print, and a piece of Borderlands is in your hands. I’m truly happy that we could kick things off with Gearbox because Borderlands is such a popular universe among cosplayers,” says Prusa Research CEO, Josef Průša.

The collaboration with Gearbox Software and Borderlands 4 is not the only one the company has recently concluded. Models related to the game Cyberpunk 2077 from the Polish studio CD Projekt RED have also been added to Printables.com. These will be useful to cosplayers in their quest to achieve the most faithful rendition of the main characters' suits and equipment. In the recent past, Printables.com has also published models from the Czech game Kingdom Come: Deliverance by Warhorse Studios and several titles from other Czech developers at Bohemia Interactive, including the famous Arma series and the globally popular survival action game DayZ.

These and similar initiatives prove that 3D printing opens up new possibilities not only for the companies involved but also for their customers and fans. Thanks to these partnerships, anyone can print new accessories, spare parts, or fan models. In the future, Prusa Research also wants to start organizing design competitions in collaboration with its partners, linked to popular brands and products, and to continuously expand its range of models.
